This Rear Tailgate Glass Switch Kit Will Work On All Jeep Grand Wagoneers, Full Size Wagoneers, Full Size Cherokees, And The Cherokee Chief From 1974-1991.
This Rear Tailgate Glass Switch Kit Comes Complete With A Direct Fit Power Window Switch, The 2-Tailgate Glass Retainer Clips & Instructions For Easy Installation.
Please Note: This kit does NOT come with the housing, you must reuse your original.

When replacing this switch we recommend checking the following parts in your Tailgate:
Tailgate Window Wipes Inner & Outer (These tend to become dry & brittle, allowing water & debris to get into your tailgate and destroy other parts)
Tailgate Inner Side Channels (These are on the inside your tailgate on either side and help the glass slide up & down easily.)
Tailgate Lifter Bar (This is attached to the regulator & what the glass rests in.)
Tailgate Lifter Bar Cushion (This is between the lifter bar and the glass.)

Tailgate glass window switch
This works! Easy to install, just make sure you keep your original housing. Thanks Team GW. I had purchased a window switch from another Jeep supplier and NOT ONLY was it very very hard to install, once installed IT didn't work!. This window switch from Team GW WORKS! Switch went in fine and no problems. The switch we got does not have enough pictures and wasn't what we were looking for. So we were lucky it worked. So 4 stars instead of 5.

Kind of pricey for what you get. Other switches include the bracket. New retainer clips should be sent with it.

Direct fit
The body of the switch seems a bit cheap, but it's a direct fit & works well. I didn't want to cut my original wiring by using some other switches that are available, so I went with this one. I cleaned & lubed the mechanism while I was in there & the lock works really well now. There is a lot of current flowing through the contacts in this switch & can give you intermittent problems.

Fts and works great
The only problem I had was that the directions that come with the switch don't mention that, in order to remove the switch, you have to remove the regulator (the gear assembly that raises and lowers the window). I'm glad that there were directions, though.
