Product Description
This Vacuum Reservoir Tank Unit Is A Direct OE Style Replacement Made To Fit Your Jeep Grand Wagoneers & Full Size Jeep Or Truck And Will Include The Mounting Screws For Easy Installation.
This Is Considered Both An AC/Heater Vacuum Reservoir & A Cruise Control Vacuum Reservoir.
Made To Hold Vacuum, This Reservoir Tank Is Located Inside Your Engine Compartment On The Firewall So That Your AC, Heater, And Defroster Vents Can Properly Work & Stay In The Correct Position When Selecting The Proper Modes Using Your AC & Heater.
This Same Vacuum Reservoir Helps Keep A Vacuum Supply To Properly Shift Your Jeep From 2wd To 4WD When Using The Vacuum Switch On The Dash.
This Also Replaces The Vacuum Reservoir Unit Located On The Drivers Fender Inside The Engine Compartment Specifically Made To Work With Your Cruise Control.
On Earlier Models This Will Replace The Old Coffee Can Unit As It Is Commonly Referred To As & Is An Exact Replacement For New Model Grand Wagoneers As This Part Has Redesigned Or Was Used To Replace The Coffee Can Style Reservoir By Jeep To Allow Your Cruise Control To Hold Vacuum To Keep Your Cruise On At A Steady Speed.
This Vacuum Reservoir Tank Unit Will Directly Replace & Correctly Fit Your Jeep Grand Wagoneers, Full Size Wagoneer, Full Size Cherokee, Cherokee Chief, Jeep J10 Pick Up Truck, & Jeep J20 Pick Up Truck With The 4.2 Liter And Both The AMC V8 360/401 Engines From 1974-1991.
If Your Jeep Has Cruise Control, You May Require Up To A Pair Of These Vacuum Units.
This Vacuum Reservoir Commonly Cracks At One Of The 2-Vacuum Nipples Which Causes A Vacuum Leak Resulting In Your AC & Heater Vents To Not Function Properly In The Defrost Mode, Floor Mode, & Face Mode Since The Doors Will Not Hold In Place Due To The Vacuum Leak & Not Actuate Properly, While Also Causing Your Transfer Case Not To Switch From 2wd To 4wd By Not Allowing The Vacuum Motor To Actuate Properly.
A Leaking Or Cracked Cruise Control Vacuum Reservoir Will Cause Your Cruise Control Not To Stay In Position Or Turn On Due To The Vacuum Leaking.
Note That You Should Always Check The Vacuum Hose Lines That Are Attached To This Vacuum Actuator Whether It Be The One On The Dash Firewall Or Driver Fender And Make Sure The Hoses Are Not Cracked Or Loose Causing A Hissing Sound & Or Vacuum Leak.
Easy To Replaces, Only Requires Attaching 2-Hoses & Several Screws Which Are Also Included With Your Vacuum Reservoir.
Purchase This Vacuum Reservoir As Each & Save If Purchasing A Pair At The Same Time.

heat vents work now
Bought a GW and the heat was not blowing out of the vents. Fan motor worked properly but the vacuum reservoir was split. Replaced it with this thing and it immediately started blow hot air. Now winter is over....

Exacly to OEM Specifications
The vacuum tank was for my 1987 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. It was the same weight and mold of the original OEM tank. The fit was correct and took two minutes to install. My original smaller hose was too loose from age and would not stay on the smallest nipple. I used a few inches of gas trimmer fuel hose to make the connection between the original hose and nipple. It is now a snug fit. That was the hardest part!
