This Direct Fit OE Style Thermostat Housing Was Specifically Made To Fit The AMC V8-360/401 Engines That Were Used On The Full Size Jeeps.
This Thermostat Housing Is Correct & Made To Fit All Jeep Grand Wagoneers & Full Size Jeep Wagoneers & Full Size Cherokees & Cherokee Chiefs & Also The Jeep J10 & J20 Pick-Up Trucks From 1974-1991 With The V8-360 & 401 Engines.
These T-Stat Housings Tend To Get Rusted Or Corrode Over A Period Of Time Through The Years Causing Blockage & Thermostat Problems Such As The Thermostat Sticking & Then Overheating.
This Housing Should Be Replaced When Leaking Or Covered With Antifreeze Crust On The Outside Of The Housing Itself.
Also Make Sure That The Inside Of Your Housing Is Clean & Free Of Any Dirt Or Debris That Can Cause Some Probems With Your Thermostat Itself.

Fixed by replacing my coroded aluminium one
This is a cast iron replacement but it better cause the antifreeze eats aluminium more than the cast metal.

Cleaned it off, painted, and it works fine. Seems as strong (thick) as stock, if not thicker.
