Team Grand Wagoneer offers a high-quality OE-style reproduction tailgate glass inner side channel, available individually or recommended as a complete pair for best results.
Each channel includes both the metal inner channel and integrated weatherstrip, measuring 7/8" wide, and is manufactured to match the original factory design. These channels are correct for Jeep Grand Wagoneer, Full-Size Wagoneer, Full-Size Cherokee, and Cherokee Chief models from 1968–1991.
Every tailgate uses a left and right inner channel, and these reproduction channels are universal and will fit either side. When properly installed, they help keep the tailgate glass tight and properly aligned.
Over time, the original inner channel weatherstrip can dry out, harden, and become brittle, allowing the glass to loosen. This often results in rattling, poor operation, and difficulty opening or closing the tailgate glass. Replacing worn channels restores proper fit and smooth operation.
Our upgraded channels feature a black E-coating on the metal to prevent corrosion, helping them last longer than the original factory channels. The result is better durability, improved performance, and excellent value.

Great item, fit great, well made
I bought this rear tailgate window guide set for my 1977 Wagoneer. Is well made and fit great. I strongly recommend this part. Shipping was also fast and item was well packed.

Nicely made but rubber should be glued into track .
Mettle could be crimped at ends and rubber glued in to prevent slipping.

Now I just have to figure out how to install them. It looks like the glass has to come out. One can be installed with the window in but not the second.

These are good parts and reasonably priced. At this price point it is not worth trying to restore the originals.

easy install- great fit good quality
The 40 year old ones were badly decomposed and caused jamming of the window travel when 3/4 of the way up. Installing the new ones gave nice, clean travel all the way. Install the upper screw first....make sure the bottom guide on the window channel is seated in the new channel first.
