This Is A Direct Replacement OE Style Complete Speedometer Cable Assembly For Full Size Jeeps That DO NOT Have Cruise Control.
This Direct Fit Cable Is Correct For All Jeep Grand Wagoneers & Full Size Wagoneers & Cherokees Including The Jeep J10 & J20 Pick-Up Truck WITHOUT Cruise Control From 1980-1990.
The Speedometer Set Up Without Cruise Control Only Has 1-Speedometer Cable & -Normally-There Are 2-Different Cables- One Cable For The 208-TRANSFER CASE & ANOTHER FOR THE 228-229 TRANSFER CASE.
However We Are Replacing Both With One Cable That Is Only A Few Inches Longer For One T-Case While Being Perfect For The Other 2-T-Cases & Will Easily Fit Both Without Any Issues At All.
If Your Speedometer If Jumping Up & Down While Driving For No Reason At All Or Even While Accelerating-The Plastic Piece Inside Has Broken & Must Be Replaced As A Cable Assembly.
If Your Speedometer Cable Is Very Noisy When Driving At Any Speeds-You Speedometer Cable Is Ready To Break Apart.
This Noise Is Telling You That The Inside Plastic Piece Is Dry & Brittle & Is Ready To Give Out.
