Just what I needed.
Replaced rag joint on my 82 cherokee. I reused some original hardware. You do have to grind off the factory rivit and the kit replaces the rivit with nuts. It's tricky to bolt back on with the nut in place.

Good Product for Experienced Wrenches
I am satisfied with the product, but then I have the advantage of turning wrenches on motor vehicles all of my life. The item can better be described as a rag joint rebuilding kit; it is necessary to grind off peened-over studs to disassemble the old joint, and then certain metal components must be "recycled" into the kit's new components. I can see where the casual DIYer might be a bit intimidated by the process required. I'm glad that I use digital photo records and match-marks in the daily course of my work, because those practices came in handy with this project. The novice might find some printed instructions to be helpful as well. Jeff Dreibus
