This Temperature Control Is Located Behind The A/C & Heater Controller Head In The Dash & This Temperature Cable Changes The Temperature Inside Your Jeep From Hot To Cold By Moving This Cable Lever Making The Cable Slide Across On The Heater Controller Itself & Allowing The Temperature Blend Doors To Open & Close Keeping The Inside Cabin Warmer Or Cooler.
This Direct Fit Heater Temperature Cable Was Specifically Designed & Made To Fit All Jeep Grand Wagoneer's, Full Size Wagoneer's, Full Size Cherokees, Cherokee Chief, J10 Pick Up Trucks, J20 Pick Up Truck From 1973-1985.

1977 Jeep Wagoneer mechanical heater cable
uninstalled old cable, and pulled out gauge panel, and disconnected the cable. Installed in opposite order, and perfect fit. Hardest part was securing firewall grommet back in firewall!

Dimensions are perfect. went in with no problem. Should come with small and large push retainers because the pin on theer temp lever is smaller.

Works Great
The cable is the correct length and has metal clips on the end. It is adjustable so you can dial in the length of pull with the adjuster sleeve. 4 stars is only because it does not have the firewall grommet pre-installed and you have to cut your grommet to put it on the new cable.

Heater cable
The heater cable was the exact replacement for my customer's vehicle. I was worried that I could no longer get this part for a 85 Jeep but it turn out to be the correct part. The cable works great.
