Way better than the stupid original cardboard
Installed it in a '73 J2000 and it's way better than the original box. Once I softened it up a little with a heat gun it went right into place. Love it!

not exactly a perfect fit, but close enough
The insert fits in well, but it is not quite right in my 1978 Jeep j10. I had to modify the left side "hinge hole" so the glove box door will open without dragging on it. Also when the insert is in all the way, the ash tray will not open. To fix the asy try issue, I had to install it not quite right. This could be what is causing the hinge hole to be a problem. One way or the other, it is not quite right. That being said it is a very good product. Much better than the original cardboard insert. I would buy it again and I have no regrets at all even though it needed a bit of modifying to work for me.
