This Is A Direct Replacement OE Style Fuel Sending Unit Kit.
This Direct Fit Fuel Sending Unit Is Correct For & Will Fit 1980-1985 Jeep Grand Wagoneers , Full Size Wagoneers, Full Size Cherokees And Cherokee Chiefs.
This Will NOT Fit J-Trucks.
The Kit Will Include The Plastic Retaining Lock Nut As Well As The O-Ring Seal & Sock Filter.
We Will Also Include A Pair Of Stainless Steel Hose Clamps To Reinstall The Hoses Connected To This Sending Unit.
This Fuel Sending Unit Is Made From Premium Steel Here In The United States & Is Made To Meet & Even Exceed OE Specifications & Is Not Poorly Made Like Some Out Of Country Fuel Senders.
The Tolerances On This Sending Unit & The Ohm Electrical Specifications Are Exactly Correct Unlike Other Brands Which May Be Slightly Inaccurate.
If Your Fuel Gauge Is Showing You Incorrect Gas Readings Or If The Gas Gauge Does Not Work At All, Most Likely This Will Be The Problem.
Installing This Fuel Sending Unit Should Only Take 30-60 Minutes. The Fuel Sending Unit Access Panel Is Located Behind The Driver Side Back Seat Underneath The Carpet.

Quality item that seems to function properly.
I have owned my 1981 Wagoneer Limited for over twenty two years and love it. The fuel gauge has not worked properly for over ten of those years. I ran out twice in the past. Part of the reason was the deteriorated strainer. My fifty plus years as mechanic helped me diagnose the problem as the sending unit. I am so happy that the fuel gauge is working again and with the new strainer I shouldn't run out again unless I am careless. Thanks for a quality item at a reasonable price.
