This is A Direct Replacement Style A/C Expansion Valve.
This Expansion Valve Allows Cool Air to Pass When the Compressor Builds Pressure.
When this Valve Goes Bad-The Low System Builds Too Much Pressure Causing Either The Switch To Blow Out Or Causing the System To Overload Which Makes Only Hot Air Come Out.
This Would Make Extreme Low Side Pressure if Bad.
If Too Much Moisture Gets Into The AC System, This Expansion Valve Should Be Replaced As Well.
This AC Expansion Valve Will Fit All Jeep Grand Wagoneers, Full Size Wagoneers, Full Size Cherokees, Jeep J10 Trucks, & J20 Trucks J-10 Trucks From 1981-1991.

Based only by feel, this is a solid part. Nothing cheaply made, the threads were good & tubing was nice. I have yet to evac & charge the system, but the installation went well.
